Roger, 73, went to be with the Lord on Jan 26, 2016. Roger was born Aug 9, 1942 in Covington, KY. Roger attended the Air Force Academy in Cincinnati, OH and honorably served his country for 8 years in the U.S. Air Force. He later attended Oklahoma City Community College. He started working at American Airlines for 14 years where he met and married his sweetheart, Don Ellen Dyer on July 18th & together shared 47 years of marriage and raised a family. He went to work in the oil industry with his father-in-law, John “Whitey” Dyer. He then started a career as an aircraft painter and moved on to be an Air Conditioning mechanic for Tinker AFB. He had 35 years dedicated service.. Roger also enjoyed OSU football in his spare time. A hardworking, kindhearted, family man, Roger had a captivating personality and will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by his son, John Cox; daughter, Stephanie Simpson; parents; sister; and his black lab “Eddie”. Survived by wife, Don Ellen; 3 grandchildren: Teri Martin, Travis Martin, & Allison Jaquez; 8 great grandchildren: Dawson & Kaelynn Fenimore, Bryson Vievia, Cadin, Avery, Noah, Asher & Jase Martin; loving sister-in-law, Denise Hay; his “Two Work Sons”, Douglas Russell and Ben Skelly and his precious boxer “Duke”.
