Funeral services for Walter Ray Charlton of Minco will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Minco First Baptist Church, with burial with military honors following in the Hazel Dell Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mr. Charlton passed away Jan. 10, 2020, at the Brookdale Alameda Care Center in Norman. He was born March 25, 1925, in Cogar. Walter was raised in the Cogar community and attended Timber Ridge Country School. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Walter worked as a sheet metal mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base from 1948-1980 until retirement. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Minco.

Walter is survived by his son, Jim Charlton of Norman; daughter, Sue Johnson of Minco; sisters, Ruth Hall of Oklahoma City and Alma Anthony of Cordell; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
