Harry Joe Gaston, 93 of Arkansas City died Thursday, October 15, 2020 at his residence.

Graveside services are scheduled or 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2020 at the Kaw City Cemetery in Kaw City, OK.

Joe was born November 19, 1926 to Dennis Flynn Gaston and Thelma (Wolfenbarger) Gaston in Kaw City, OK. He attended Kaw City and Newkirk schools. Joe served in the United States Marines. On December 27, 2977 he married R. Geniece Clark in Arkansas City. Joe worked for Newman’s Dry goods for 41 years in management. He also worked 10 years as Cowley County Clerk; treasurer for USD 470 and treasurer for the Recreation Commission for over 20 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Vicky Hays of Wichita; sister, Donna Craft of Jasper, TX; grandchildren, Amanda McKee of Wichita and Roger Hays of Basehor; great grandson, Trevor Joe McKee and several nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents.
